want to see an amazing comeback, wathc Wednesday's 6th as the 4/5 choice was left at the gate, the circled the entire field to get up the last jump. That is how a true 4/5 horse should perform.

Year in Year out, the absolute BEST meeing in North America in opportuniyt of wagers, field size and local public support AND thieir road to the Derby has been the best of late. You owe it to yourself to play this track on the few days that are left of a stellar season AGAIN.

Deteriorating weather has forced Oaklawn to cancel after the fourth race Sunday. The jockeys met after the race and the decision was made to err on the side of caution and cancel.

I have seen thousands of races and now and again, one stands out as really a magnicent contest that highlights to tenacious nature of some horses WHATEVER class level they compete. You owe it to yourself to watch a replay of the 3rd race at Oaklawn today and watch the only two greys in the race battle tooth and nail down the lane. Absolutely a thriller!

BRAVO riders in the 6th today Saturday as a loose horse on the outside (post 10) kept boring in and then bore out down the lane.....All the riders did a good job to stay focused without losing too much ground.

May have notified all before, but this racing meet is one of the most parimutually rewarding of the year: well meant horses, consistent surface, few shippers after the opening two week, solid rider colony, good mix of conditions, tolerable alterations on the surface during bad weather etc etc. This is the GRINDER'S paradise with the vast majority of winners, in logical races, running between 8/5 and 5/1....You should really give it a try before it is too late. Maidens, claimers, allowances of stakes, the situation is much the same no matter the "man made" class levels. Well managed course too with week end crowds akin to most courses have not seen since the 70's. GOOD PLACE to bet regularly.

There are 4 meetings I never miss during the year, Saratoga, Belmont, Woodbine and the best, Oaklawn. A great little track with solid riders, horses and trainers. The parimutuels there come so often that it is a welcome relief for having to wait with many of the other venues. They have the BEST road to the Triple Crown and just top quality racing from top to bottom all on that RED dirt....I wish that this meeting were longer....Try it and you WILL like it I cannot recall a year that did not produce at least one $50+ winner on the lead for me there...

travel_vic · Not all venues play the same and it takes a bit to adjust YOUR style to where it works the best. I know a guy who only plays four and a half furlong races....he realized that his ROI was huge and was happen to specialize. Find a distacne or surface you can't beat (for me that is turf sprints) them leave them alone. · 3644 days ago
