Older Comments about the 2013 Tattersalls Gold Cup (G1)...

The field for this year's G1 Tattersalls Gold Cup ended up trimmed down markedly from what I had hoped it might be, but the prospect of seeing Camelot knocking heads with the highly progressive Al Kazeem on Sunday still holds quite a bit of appeal.

  • ILuvTurfRacing · @On The Gallop's, I believe Camelot will win the Tattersalls Gold Cup, but Al Kazeem hasn't gone down easily to anyone in his entire career yet, and it's certainly not as if he's been beating mugs himself. I think it's quite possibly Al Kazeem could make this a much more interesting race than many think he will. Both are going out on Sunday for the 2nd start of the season, and both already have a G3 win in their seasonal debut's. · 3534 days ago

Al Kazeem continues to be one of the most progressive middle distance horses in Europe. He pulls the upset and beats Camelot by 1-1/2 lengths to win the G1 Tattersalls Gold Cup at the Curragh in Ireland!!
  • yukichan · I think 12f may be better for Camelot. But good for Roger Charlton--fantastic training job for getting Al Zazeem right after his injury. · 3532 days ago
  • Sullivan · Tiny field, Windsor Palace has a very nice stride · 3532 days ago
