so , Shackleford will again controlling the space as his will in the Belmomnt Stakes, as such a speed horse as he is, if he can lead the way what he did in the Preakness, i believe in the Belmont distance most of the horse will be getting tired as thay chase this speed horse, so you see in the Preakness , although it it was 1-3/16 of a mile, good and class horse has no barrier to the distance, weather it is 1-1/4 mile or 1-1/8 mile or 1-3/16 mile he should have beat the speedy Shackleford, i saw lot of 1-1/2 mile races specially in england and india, there is no barrier to go for distance, so i still think that Shackleford has a great shot at Belmont disatnce, otherwise Dale Roman did not enter his horse in the Belmont, if he can win the Belmont, then Shackleford has a chance to win the horse of the year.
I alway said that the Ky Derby winner is generally not the best horse and the best horse usually wins the Preakness.

  • icyhotboo · The Belmont is the true classic distance and yes TimSmith Drosselmeyer is a better horse than Lookin at lucky and Da'Tara did beat Big Brown but for you thats par.LMAO · 4266 days ago
Shackleford's condition before the race made his Preakness win all the more impressive.
Our "Blind Handicapping the Preakness" did well! We had the trifecta and 3/4 in the super, though, if we would've joined our early picks with our later picks, we would've had 4/4 on the super. And I know, that's easy to say after the fact. But I think we have something in this 'blind handicapping'. On to the Belmont!!
i told you folks, do not ignore Shackleford in the Preakness, now you see what a speedy horse he is? i backed him to day , just $50.00 but i play trifecta and superfecta, but i did not get it because Astrology was not in my selection, i select Shackleford, Animal Kingdom, Mucho Macho Man, Dialed In and Dance City, bad luck for me.

  • jinlie01 · Shackleford!!! My pick in Derby and stuck with him for Preakness! Castanon rode him well...slowed it down enough to have some in the stretch after a quick half...it's been awhile sine I picked Preakness winner...thanks Shackleford and Jesus! · 4271 days ago
hi, blooy, go back and look at my comments on Shackleford before Preakness was started, i was telling about Shackleford since last 7 days, after i study the backgrounds of Shackleford, it was everywhere in "what the nation says about the prteakness" go and just look.
My Ex race horse, Jockey club registry "First Class Guy" is also an Unbridled offspring like Shackeford. I was pleased to see him win!! Anyone can check ANY race horse record and lineage on Jockey club Interactive Registry. No log in. just go to the site and scroll down. on the left is the place to enter the horse name and the pedigree pops up free of charge. Using this and seeing the stats ( dosage index/dosage profile and center distribution) shows Shackeford will have problems with a longer race and s hows he was an easy choice for the Preakness because it is 1 3/16 mile. He will have trouble with the distance at Belmont. I agree that AK is probably going to win.
Exciting, "SHACK"! Animal Kingdom would have liked a few practice days on new track,he needed fewyards more.!.
evo1980 don't compare the two... hopping fences is so much different it suck

  • evo1980 · oh and national hunt racing doesnt suck its much more exciting side of horse racing except the bad accidents of course but horses get bad injuries running round dirt tracks aswell! · 4271 days ago
  • Aidoky · Totally agree Evo .. I live in Louisville and have been to both the Grand National and the Kentucky Derby several times .. the Derby has a great build up, but there is simply nothing in racing to compare to the National. · 4271 days ago
no triple crown this year,,1978 was the last time,,AFFIRMED won it
  • Thead'or · But what is odd, is that this time the horse loses it because the shorter distance was the problem. Most TC hopefuls are sucking are in the Belmont because of the distance, but AK will leave the others in his wake. Ears pricked. · 4271 days ago

Anna way they go. Ooh, Astrology is squeezed hard at the break and is already 5L oss. Flashpoint, Shackleford and Dance City lead them into the first turn withMidnight Interlude andAnimal Kingdom following about 6L back. As they head into the Backstretch, Jockey Julian Pimentel cuts off Midnight Interlude With that one taking up sharply. Dialed In brings up the rear, 12L from the leaders who are going at a blazing pace with a :45 swcond first half. As they enter the final turn Astrology begins his fade andFlashpoint, Shackleford andDance City continue a tight duel now 8L ahead of the others. As they approach the quarter pole, Mucho Macho Man makes a strong move from 6 back and sweeps up to the leaders as they enter the stretch. Dialed In is still last, 12L from the lead and appears to have had enough. Now here is Animal Kingdom making a strong move from the muddle of a five horse pack and he's flying down the lane. Dialed In has found another gear and is picking off horses one by one. animal Kingdom has now collared Flashpoint at the 1/8th pole and is putting distance between his adversaries. He is now 7L in front of Flashpoint and Dance City and...HEAR COMES DIALED IN WITH A TREMENDOUS KICK as they pass the 1/16th pole, Animal Kingdom now has a 12L lead but Dialed In is closing with every stride but it won't be enought and he'll have to sprout wings to catch Animal Kingdom who is now 15l in front of a fading field. What a performance ladies and gentleman. I think we have a legitimate contender for the Triple Crown. An absolutely devastating performance. Three hours later, Andy posts a 114 Beyer for the winner.
  • icyhotboo · hey crazy horse do you want to buy that domain for preakness odds or what. It's still available · 4271 days ago
  • icyhotboo · crazy horse-ONLY 45 MIN LEFT FOR THAT DOMAIN?????????? · 4271 days ago
it does not matter who is going to be favourite in the preakness, the winner will be coming from first top 5 runners in the kentucky derby, KD is the most famous and prestigious horse racing in the world, current horse in the K.D. is more consistance runner ever found any races. so i would'nt choose any horse for Preakness outside K.D. we know other horses performances no horse can match with first 5 runners in K.D. except Dialed In,
timgsmith10, then theres QH then Harness...then.................. hopping fences
Animal Kingdo to the wire first, then Astology and then Dialed In. Good Luck to all!
order of finish:10-11-9-1- there are no other routers in the race, all sprinters
  • bigfootmauler · I have a feeling AK will be in 2nd or 3rd.. even though i picked him for derby.. but hope we can possibly get a winner! he can do it long as he doesnt get boxed in! · 4272 days ago
  • icyhotboo · Dialed In on top,IF HE GETS A 46.3/5 HALF THE BALLGAME IS OVER · 4271 days ago
Brian, I want to make sure that you received my email for my wager - going with Animal Kingdom, and MMM as backup.
Does anyone know a website for live Preaknes odds?
Animal Kingdom, Midnight interlude, shackleford, sway away.. going for an odd mix :)
