Danush Sukie has been taken to Loyola Medical Center for observation and tests after showing signs of concussion following an incident when his mount, Loosenthesecondary, tripped over Casey’s On Call, who had broken down near the quarter pole in Wednesday’s second race at Hawthorne Race Course. Tim Thornton, the rider of Casey’s On Call, was sore but had no apparent injuries, though he took off the rest of his mounts on Wednesday. Loosenthesecondary returned to the barn under his own power. Casey’s On Call was euthenized. Update-Danush Sukie has been released from the hospital.
