I like him also and I wouldn't be surprised if those big names push his odds up higher come race time.
I think it's hard to know that Gun Runner wasn't near his peak by Dubai. It's not as if he didn't run a big race there. The others finished well back and he was putting distance on them throughout the stretch. I thought the last 2 races of his 3yr old season in the BCDM and Clark showed he was an improving horse. He came back for his 4yr old season after a few months off and ran nothing but big races from there on. Maybe he did improve a few lengths further after Dubai, which would be significant, but I think he at least gave us an inkling of how good he was by that point and in that race. The figures are close but I think Arrogate in the Travers and both Arrogate and CC in the 16 BCC ran a bit faster than GR did in his best 10f race, the 17 BCC. As far as the Travers, not really sure if it matters that some of them were over the top. Most that ran poorly were off the pace type horses and nothing they had done at that point suggested they would have run down Arrogate on that day.
Jimmy Barnes walked out onto the track and gave Garcia an enthusiastic handshake before Martin brought Collected to the winner's circle. Didn't see the nasty look you speak of or losing a smile when taking Collected past Barnes into the winner's circle. Appeared to be looking at someone or something behind Barnes when leading Collected past him and to the winner's circle.
I remember you and a few others here on the site were speaking highly of him before the Travers. That made me go back and watch replays of his first 4 starts. I can't say I saw the Travers coming but I was impressed with how good he looked in the homestretch during those first 4 starts.
I remember you and a few others felt confident in him winning the Travers if I recall correctly. It was a good call being that he went off as the 8th betting choice with many of the top 3yolds entered.
I really didn't want to click on the link. Sorry to his connections for their loss.
No problem. I checked back to 11/29/19 since that was the start of the meet at GP but I included horses of his that ran at all tracks.
3 are entered this week. Queen of Shades race 9 at CD today. Hay Dakota 6/3 race 8 at Bel and Higher Authority 6/4 race 9 at CD. Some others have run for the first time after the suspension with new trainers but the trainer switch might have occurred prior to suspension in those cases.
My count shows 17 horses that ran under Servis from 11/29/19 to his suspension have since run under a different trainer. Their record under different trainers has been 32:3-7-5 since leaving Servis on or after 11/29/19. 3 previous Servis starters are entered in races this week. Some have appeared to regress since leaving Servis while others have performed as well or better. 11 of the 17 have made only one start since leaving Servis. Don't think any conclusions can be made regarding how well they performed as a whole with and without Servis.
Cocaine is sometimes cut or diluted with Lidocaine but it's not a "form of Cocaine". I could see the substance benefitting a horse or human athlete by masking pain from an injury but your claims of how it enhances performance are off the wall.
