I've been there 1 time. Beautiful setting in Franklin, Kentucky with a monster stretch. One of the hardest tracks to handicap in the country in my opinion. The payoffs are usually good here for the most part. Great atmosphere with large wagering fields. I will go back again. This is certainly one track, for numerous reasons, to put on your bucket list if you love horse racing
I too was skeptical that Mr. Money might be distance limited to 8F but he's been stretching it out and keeps winning easily albeit at the Grade 3 level. I think he may be able to be competitive or maybe win a Grade 1 or 2 but who knows for sure? He has the confidence of finding the winners circle frequently so I do think he can beat better competition. Time will tell.
Mr. Money registered a 4th place finish in The Breeders Cup Juvenile last fall that was won by Game Winner. I've been a follower and a huge fan of his since seeing him in person when he made his maiden debut at Ellis Park last year as a 2yo and ran 3rd. He had the look of something special as a 2yo and he hasn't disappointed me this season at all. He's a nice colt that's still improving. It's time to knock heads with the big guns and see what he's got against better competition.
I agree . I'm a big fan of the horse and I've been following him since his debut back at Ellis Park. I told many of my horse racing buddies last year to keep an eye on this one that he has potential to be a good one. I do believe he may be distance limited but you never know for sure with a young and improving colt.
How did that one work out for you? Next to last. Back to the drawing board. https://media3.giphy.com/media/65ODCwM00NVmEyLsX3/giphy.gif
I will be using Bodexpress underneath in some of my wagers. Maiden or not he could slip in there for a share of the pie.
I'm a Twin Spires customer and I didn't get any refund back on my Maximum Security bets.
I used him in the underneath spots in the trifecta despite the dreaded 1 hole in the Derby with Maximum Security in top spot all the way. War of Will is a nice colt if they can get him to relax and (that's a big if right there) but he could run a huge race on Saturday. Big contender in my book.

Country House should have been disqualified also for coming in and pancaking Long Range Toddy and Bodexpress after those 2 were pushed out by War of Will trying to force himself through a hole that wasn't there yet. I agree that Maximum Security came over and interfered with War of Will but what caused him to come over? After seeing the race in slow motion , he was struck from behind by War of Will's front legs multiple times including 1 shot in the groin area. There could and should have been multiple horses taken down and I had my money on the best horse in the race Maximum Security so that's my take. I wasn't happy about losing out on a few hundred dollars due to the disqualification but I have no sour grapes after the fact. The real issue is why the others that fouled were allowed to keep their positions. That's what has me miffed.
