I love Chrome, despite the time I am very impressed by him and he is darn easy to root for which I will be for the remainder of the TC. This isn't a knock but something that worries me. I posted a question about Derby pace last week, many originally thought the race would be speed heavy ensuring a fast pace but many of those dropped out and Chrome was able to stalk moderate fractions. Now for the Preakness those speed horses I thought would be in the Derby many weeks ago have resurfaced , Bayern, Social Inclusion, Ring Weekend, Pablo Del Monte. Is Chrome going to be as impressive up close to a "hot" pace and will he be able to hang with and pass those I believe are slightly better and faster on the front end then those he faced in Kentucky. Would a fast pace help or hinder Chrome and does anyone think it will be a major factor in Baltimore?
  • amdaman · I think there's enough speed to guarantee that no one will steal the race on the front end. It also means that California Chrome can just sit behind the duelling leaders and take over approaching the stretch. Danza will probably be glued to him all the way, but will not be able to get past him. However, if Chrome is too close to a hot pace, Ride On Curlin and Kid Cruz could be dangerous. California Chrome should have no problem. Espinoza had a great ride. I see plenty of horse still left in CC, he has great disposition & good looking head. i know it's early into the trail, but the TC is sure in sight.

slowest time in the Preakness since the 1950's. Really starting to feel this years group is a bit lackluster.

there is no excuse for the loss of victory for ORB, he simply did'nt have any energy left after a mile, so most of the punters overestimated including me the stamina of ORB and as a result of biased beliefs , most of the people were shocked ! and i lost very big amount of money believing ORB is unbeatable, my 2nd selection was Oxbo but ORB spiled evert things.THERE IS NO CERTAINITY OF WIN IN GAMBLING?

in my superfecta and trifecta, ORB will be at top, then i will put OXBO, WILL TAKE CHARGE, MYLUTE, GOLDENCENTS AND ITSMYLUCKYDAY or DEPARTING in a box. but my horse will be ORB whom i put money to win the preakness? distance does'nt bother ORB, since he won the 1-1/8 miles very comfortably, so he can run on slow space and also fast space, there is no horse in that group that will beat ORB?

since Normandy Invasion is not running in the Preakness, my new selection will be: 1.ORB, 2ND.OXBO, 3RD, MYLUTE, FOLLOWED BY Departing and Goldencents.
i am sure that ORB will be the winner, Normandy Invasion will be second follwed by Mylute. i am not giving too much importance to Departing.

preakness ****oxbow 20/1.. ***** orb 5/5 wins inclusso florida,kentucky.. orb 5/6.. . io dico oxbow..pedigree & sun.. orb no entró fatigado pero si votando..me parece que le quedan un poco largas las distancias.tambien demostró que es el mejor.. "mr. prospector en exceso.. malibu moon ".un todo terreno buenissimo pero en esa distancia hay que votarlo..hay que sudar"
look at the Peter Pan results, Malibu Moon progony Freedom Child cantering the field, so you can imagine how Sire Malibu Moon is so strong and powerful, it indicates the stamina and speed of his progny ORB and Flower Child!
orb favorito pimlico.. preakness... sin embargo pienso que va a ganar oxbow.. gary & lukas... otra carrera orb lleva 5 de 5.. florida.. & kentucky... hará mejor tiempo.. no se forzará a oxbow 3/4 el caballo tiene rush..potencia y ganará. es un riesgo el llevar a mas ritmo un caballo.. pero evitar el barro es una ventaja.. se confio demasiado en el.. y el esfuerzo es muy grande.."ganará preaknerss".. a pesar del impresionante orb.. Love the preakness, my favorite of the 3 legs. Last years 137th was my favorite race of all time, as my favorite horse of all time I'll Have Another, wearing his number 9 cloth that is now framed in my man cave, came storming back to catch Bodemeister in a dejavu moment. I hope this year is nearly as exciting.

There is no obstacle for ORB in the Preakness Stakes, no horse in the preakness or belmont can come close to ORB, he has stamina and speed, do,nt forget the race that he ran with Violence, it was a very fast fractions in first first 3/4 and he beat one of Todd Pleatcher best 3 year colt, from that day i know how talented that he is? he has a natural speed and stamina and combination of Joel Rosario and Orb, i have no doubt in my mind that he will be Triple Crown winner this year.
