I know I'm late to the bandwagon, but wow, this is one good looking colt! I just watched his most recent gallop and he is stunning.
Hastings Race Course in Vancouver closes this week and several of the top trainers are moving in to take up the season in Phoenix. Cindy Krasner, Phil Hall and Steve Henson are just a few. Animals at the upper end of the pecking order in Vancouver, do well in Phoenix. Their best stock usually go to N California. Lex Murray is a solid trainer who often visits the desert as well. Their turf course was nicely watered with much rain over the Spring and it in fairly good shape for a change. “This will be my fifth year going to Arizona,” said Krasner. “As a rule, most of the horses Canadians take to Turf Paradise do well. It’s also a good place to pick up horses for purchase since some may fit into the Hastings program. Also, the cost of living is cheaper than here. Although the purses are not as good when compared to Hastings, it beats sitting home without any money coming in.”

BREAKING: Multiple G1 winner Dortmund has been retired from racing a second time. He will stand stud at Bonita Farm in Maryland and a stud fee is TBA.
If he's not going in the Classic, where does he go next? The Clark? The Cigar Mile?

That damned laminitis! I know everyone did their best for this colt; special thanks to New Bolton/Dr. Dean Richardson. Sincere condolences to O'Neill, his caregiving staff, and the Reddams. RIP.
