Saturday's 5th race (2:09pm PT) from Tampa Bay is the Grade 3 Sam F. Davis for 3-year-olds traveling a mile and a sixteenth on the main track.

#5 RAFTING (7-2) beat decent runner Fellowship (3rd in G2 Holy Bull) when last seen in the one mile Smooth Air at Gulfstream West. He is training well for Motion and fits the winning course profile as a stalker breaking from a middle post.

#3 Destin (3-1) might be the right Pletcher runner in this spot. He exits an even 4th in the G3 LeComte (blinkers on) and can move up 3rd off the shelf. Johnny V hops aboard and the $400k purchase is slowly improving.

#2 Gettysburg (5-2) is the Pletcher chalk exiting a nine furlong wire-to-wire maiden win at Gulfstream. He meets other speed (#6 Morning Fire, #7 Awesome Slate) and will take too much action.

#4 Whatawonderflworld (7-2) won his last three starts on turf and synthetic for Casse. He is bred to handle dirt and fits on numbers.

$20 to win #5

$5 Exacta Box 3-5 ($10)
