Saturday's 9th race (4:25pm ET) from Tampa Bay is the Grade III Sam F. Davis Stakes for 3-year-olds traveling a mile and a sixteenth on the main track.

#2 Noble Cornerstone (7-2) blasted his way to a sharp 6f win vs. NY-breds at Aqueduct Nov. 3 and the clear runner-up came back to score. He experienced a different set of circumstances vs. stakes routers in the Springboard Mile second time out and acquitted himself nicely with a rallying place finish. Springboard Mile 4th place finisher Walt returned to finish 2nd in the Smarty Jones Stakes at Oaklawn Park on Jan. 20. Wesley Ward is 4-for-6 here and resurgent rider Kent D clicks with this barn and is riding high after booting home two Cal Cup Day stakes winners at Santa Anita last weekend.

The Plays:

$20 to win, $30 to place #2
