Tuesday's 5th race from Hoosier Park is a $6,000 claiming affair for fillies and mares which have never won two races. They will be traveling seven and one-half furlongs on the main track.

#8 Piton (4-1) graduated at seven panels and attended the pace and hit the board in last four flat mile outings. I like her early tendencies at a speed friendly distance and she should appreciate this slightly shorter trip since she lost ground late in recent flat mile events. Franklin got to know her last time in her initial journey over the local dirt oval.

The Plays:

$12 to win, $18 to place #8

Contenders should be here; 6 Pick and Choose A+ 4 Yesterday A+ 1 Caseys Cactus A+ Odds will tell the wager, as per usual.
This is a tough race. I would look for a price here. Contenders are #5, 4, 6, 1. The #4 is the improving and dangerous horse. The #6 loves this track and trainer does well with the route to sprint move. The #1 Cali Style (10/1) is definately the value...has best pace and late speed figures and is dangerous also. However, my sleeper is the #5 Petticoat Lane (8/1)...coming back quickly after a bang up 3rd with this kind and will be overlooked. Take a shot with #5 to win and exactas with #4, 6, 1. Good luck!!!
