Thursday's 5th race (1:00pm PT) from Betfair Hollywood Park is a $10,000 claiming event for 3-year-olds dashing six and one-half furlongs on Cushion Track.

Today's added ground and surface switch could make all the difference for #5 The Bien's Gift (7-2). My top sports two wins and a 2nd in three local starts and finished 1-2 in both 6.5f outings. Pederson's 3yo gelding ran out of ground in a 5.5f conventional dirt sprint off the shelf last out and figures to be positioned closer to the early leaders under new aggressive pilot Pedroza.

Play Thursday's $1k Thanksgiving Day games at DerbyWars.com.

#3 Idontrollonshabbos (5-2) has been facing slightly better recently. He is back at his winning level for a profitable barn but might get overbet in this tight spot.

#1 Beau Royale (3-1) hails from a low perentage barn but did run well for his new conditioner at Golden Gate Nov 2. He likes all-weather footing and Krigger figures to hustle him from the rail.

The Plays:

$18 to win #5

$8 Quinella 5-3 ($8)

$4 Quinella 5-1

same after scratches
Contenders: #3, 4, 5. Vic is correct. It's a poor betting race. The #3 Idontrollonshabbos looks live and the horse to beat at 5/2 and will probably go off at 6/5. No value...pass...Good luck!!!
