Weekend's travel itinerary has him leaving Gulfstream, flying to Santa Anita, catches a 3YO mount in the San Vicente, Kobe's Back, on Sunday, then flies to Arkansas, to ride Strong Mondate, in the Southwest Stakes, on Monday. Looks like he's shopping for a live mount for the Derby.

injured his foot after a fall in the 7th at Saratoga. Lezcano to ride Judy the Beauty in the Ballerina. its unlikely he will ride this weekend. mounts for Game On Dude, Goldencents, Orb, Somali Lemonade, Forty Tales, & My Happy Face are open.

Leading rider Joel Rosario will be out of action for 6 weeks following the spill he took yesterday which resulted in a broken left foot. Jose Lezcano has picked up the mount on Orb for the G1 Travers, and Mike Smith has the call for My Happy Face in the G1 Test.

Joel Rosario has been handed a 7-day suspension for his ride aboard Who's in Town in yesterday's bumpy rendition of the Adirondack Stakes. The suspension will be reduced to 3-days if Rosario does not appeal. The decision to appeal is still pending.

Floridaf · LOL It's okay, tmallios. Venting definitely helps. I have yet to meet Rosario, but he has to be doing something right (understatement of the year, I know), and I highly doubt anyone in his position would try to sabotage themselves, even to keep winning. It would take a really malicious person to deliberately cause the kind of bumping and interference that went on in the Adirondak, interference that easily could have cost up to 6 lives at that point in the race. If it wasn't Rosario he would have gotten more days and deservingly so. He is lucky that all three horses did not go down.

sosotricksy · Jockeys are put on the horses to keep them moving, and to point the animals head in the direction with the hope and trust the horse has enough training to respond appropriatly. they can not physically make them do any thing. I think you have it ecactly backward 90 % horse 10% rider. · 3704 days ago

I was screaming at the TV, go to the outside, go to the outside, everyone was look at me like I'm crazy. I watch all of Orb races and I knew the horse like to be on the outside. Did you notice that Orb started to fire when Joel position him to the center of the track at the end of the race? · 3789 days ago

Premptive move in Gulfstream Park Turf Handicap, loss. Premptive move on Orb in Preakness Stakes, loss. I didn't have $ on Orb, but I am not ready to preach Rosiarianity.

Joel Rosario, a 10-time Southern California riding champion who last year moved his base of operations to the East Coast under the direction of top agent Ron Anderson, is named on six horses opening day, but Anderson said the native of the Dominican Republic won’t remain at Santa Anita. “From time to time he’ll have stakes mounts at Santa Anita,” Anderson said, “but he’ll mainly be in Florida and where ever the stakes mounts take him.”
