Inspired by his visit to Santa Anita the week before the 2008 Breeders’ Cup, former jockey Punchie Goberdhan is set to begin training on his own next week at Belmont Park. A former exercise rider for Bobby Frankel and Chad Brown, Goberdhan was instrumental in preparing Maram for her victory in the 2008 Juvenile Fillies Turf at Santa Anita under Brown’s training.
