Two older Todd Pletcher-trained horses not seen in the afternoons since September - Fearless and Dynamic One - returned to the work tab at the Fair Hill training center on Friday.
Fearless, a 7-year-old gelding by Ghostzapper) with eight victories to his credit, including the Gulfstream Park Mile and Brooklyn, both Grade 2s, worked three furlongs in 38.0 seconds. It was the fifth fastest of six works at the distance.
It was his first timed work since his last race, a seventh-place finish in the Greenwood Cup (G3) going 1 1/2 miles on the main track at Parx Racing on Sept. 24.
Also resurfacing after a similar absence was the 5-year-old Dynamic One (Union Rags), winner of the 2022 Suburban (G2), who was last seen finishing sixth in the Jockey Club Gold Cup (G1) at 1 1/4 miles on the main track at Saratoga on Sept. 3.
The son of Union Rags worked three furlongs in 38.0 seconds, the fifth fastest of six works at the distance.
Pletcher has not yet indicated when the horses are expected to begin their 2023 campaigns.
