Champion sprinter Elite Power continued his preparations Monday for the Grade 2 True North, working five furlongs in 1:01.59 over the dirt training track at Saratoga, fastest of five workers at the distance.

The Bill Mott trainee won his seasonal debut in the Riyadh Dirt Sprint (G3) on Feb. 25. That win was his sixth straight, stretching back to a maiden win at Churchill in June.

Report: Elite Power will skip Met Mile, run in True North

Casa Creed, who won the last two editions of the Jaipur (G1), also worked five furlongs Monday at Saratoga. He covered the distance in 1:01.98, second fastest of five, behind only his stablemate Elite Power. Casa Creed last raced Feb. 25, when he was second in the 1351 Turf Sprint (G3) on the Saudi Cup day card.
