Works report: Country Grammer drills, Reincarnate returns to tab

Monday morning, Country Grammer continued his preparations toward the Grade 1 Saudi Cup (G1) and his defense in the Dubai World Cup (G1). Last seen winning the San Antonio (G2) on Dec. 26, the Bob Baffert trainee drilled four furlongs in 47.8 seconds at Santa Anita, eighth-fastest of 22 workers over that distance.

Reincarnate, last-out winner of the Sham (G3) for Baffert, drilled Monday morning for the first time since that victory. The promising son of Good Magic went three furlongs in 36.0 seconds, third fastest of 13 at the distance. Though he earned no Kentucky Derby qualifying points for his victory in the Sham, he will be able to earn future points if he is transferred to an eligible trainer by Feb. 28.

Country Grammer (Tonalist), a Grade 1 winner (2021 Hollywood Gold Cup), worked four furlongs in 47.8 seconds at Santa Anita on Monday morning. It was the eighth fastest of 22 works at the distance. His previous work was 14 days ago going four furlongs at Santa Anita. In his last start he won the San Antonio (G2) going 1 1/16 miles on the main track at Santa Anita on Dec. 26 for trainer Bob Baffert.

Eda (Munnings), a Grade 1 winner (2021 Starlet), worked four furlongs in 49.4 seconds at Santa Anita on Monday morning. It was the 17th fastest of 22 works at the distance. Her previous work was 11 days ago going four furlongs at Santa Anita. In her last start she won the Santa Ysabel (G3) going 1 1/16 miles on the main track at Santa Anita on March 6 for Baffert.

Leave No Trace (Outwork), a Grade 1 winner (2022 Spinaway), worked four furlongs in 49.3 seconds at Gulfstream Park on Monday morning. It was the seventh fastest of 11 works at the distance. Her previous work was eight days ago going three furlongs at Gulfstream Park. In her last start she placed second in the Breeders' Cup Juvenile Fillies going 1 1/16 miles on the main track at Keeneland on Nov. 4 for trainer Philip M. Serpe.

Secret Oath (Arrogate), a Grade 1 winner (2022 Kentucky Oaks), worked five furlongs in 1:01.4 at Oaklawn on Monday morning. It was the eighth fastest of 17 works at the distance. Her previous work was seven days ago going five furlongs at Oaklawn. In her last start she placed fifth in the Breeders' Cup Distaff going 1 1/8 miles on the main track at Keeneland on Nov. 5 for trainer D. Wayne Lukas.

Hong Kong Harry (Es Que Love), a two-time Grade 2 winner (2022 Seabiscuit Handicap, 2022 Del Mar Mile), worked three furlongs in 35.8 seconds at Santa Anita on Monday morning. It was the second fastest of six works at the distance. His previous work was nine days ago going three furlongs at Santa Anita. In his last start he won the Seabiscuit Handicap (G2) going 1 1/16 miles on the turf at Del Mar on Nov. 26 for trainer Philip D'Amato.

Long Range Toddy (Take Charge Indy), a Grade 2 winner (2019 Rebel), worked four furlongs in 48.8 seconds at Oaklawn on Monday morning. It was the 11th fastest of 36 works at the distance. His previous work was seven days ago going four furlongs at Oaklawn. In his last start he placed sixth in the Ring The Bell going six furlongs on the main track at Oaklawn on Dec. 10 for trainer Dallas Stewart.

Gam's Mission (Noble Mission), a two-time Grade 3 winner (2022 Old Forester Mint Julep, 2021 Regret), worked four furlongs in 50.9 seconds at Palm Meadows on Monday morning.
