Works report: Country Grammer, Pauline's Pearl lead Monday tab

Grade 1 Dubai World Cup winner Country Grammer returned to the work tab Monday morning at Santa Anita. His six-furlong drill in 1:13.0 was his third published workout since finishing second behind Defunded, his stablemate in the Bob Baffert barn, Oct. 1 in the Awesome Again (G1).

Pauline's Pearl, who upset Shedaresthedevil in the La Troienne (G1) on the Kentucky Oaks undercard, also showed up on Monday's work tab. The Steve Asmussen trainee worked five furlongs at Fair Grounds in 1:02.2, her fourth drill this autumn over the track where she broke her maiden in February 2021. Pauline's Pearl has not raced since July 2, when she finished third behind Shedaresthedevil in the Fleur de Lis (G2).
