Workouts: 15 graded-stakes winners breeze Thursday

A pair of older Grade 1 winners from last year turned in workouts Thursday morning about 1,600 miles apart.

Hit the Road, who finished first in the 2021 Frank E. Kilroe Mile, went five furlongs in 1:00.2 at Santa Anita. Two Emmys, who scored in the 2021 Mister D. at Arlington, went a half-mile in 50.8 seconds at Fair Grounds in his first breeze in more than three months.

Fifteen graded-stakes winners showed up on Thursday work tabs across the country.

Hit the Road (More Than Ready), a Grade 1 winner (2021 Frank E. Kilroe Mile), worked five furlongs in 1:00.2 at Santa Anita on Thursday morning. It was the second fastest of eight works at the distance. His previous work was seven days ago going four furlongs at Santa Anita. In his last start he placed eighth in the Pegasus World Cup Turf Invitational (G1) going 1 1/8 miles on the turf at Gulfstream Park on Jan. 29 for trainer Dan Blacker.

Two Emmys (English Channel), a Grade 1 winner (2021 Mister D.), worked four furlongs in 50.8 seconds at Fair Grounds. It was the 58th fastest of 66 works at the distance. His previous work was 97 days ago going five furlongs at Delaware Park. In his last start he won the Outbound Ike going 1 1/16 miles on the turf at Hawthorne on June 25 for trainer Hugh Robertson.

Bemma’s Boy (Into Mischief), a Grade 2 winner (2020 Pan American), worked five furlongs in 59.8 seconds at Gulfstream Park. It was the fastest of three works at the distance. His previous work was seven days ago going five furlongs at Gulfstream Park. In his last start he placed third in the Elkhorn (G2) going 1 1/2 miles on the turf at Keeneland on April 23 for trainer Mike Maker.

Brooke Marie (Lemon Drop Kid), a Grade 2 winner (2022 Monrovia), worked three furlongs in 36.0 seconds at Fair Grounds. It was the second fastest of six works at the distance. Her previous work was 10 days ago going three furlongs at Fair Grounds. In her last start she placed seventh in the Franklin (G3) going 5 1/2 furlongs on the turf at Keeneland on Oct. 16 for trainer Eddie Kenneally.

Du Jour (Temple City), a Grade 2 winner (2021 American Turf), worked four furlongs in 48.6 seconds at Los Alamitos. It was the fastest of eight works at the distance. His previous work was seven days ago going three furlongs at Los Alamitos. In his last start he placed fifth in the Santa Anita Mathis Mile (G2) going one mile on the main track at Santa Anita on Dec. 26 for trainer Bob Baffert.

Elm Drive (Mohaymen), a Grade 2 winner (2021 Sorrento), worked three furlongs in 36.4 seconds at Los Alamitos. It was the second fastest of six works at the distance. This was her first work since her last race. In her last start she placed sixth in the Weather Vane going six furlongs on the main track at Pimlico on Sep. 24 for trainer Michelle Nevin.

Midnight Memories (Mastery), a Grade 2 winner (2022 Zenyatta), worked five furlongs in 1:00.6 at Santa Anita. It was the second fastest of 11 works at the distance. Her previous work was six days ago going seven furlongs at Santa Anita. In her last start she won the Zenyatta (G2) going 1 1/16 miles on the main track at Santa Anita on Oct. 2 for Baffert.

Havnameltdown (Uncaptured), a two-time Grade 3 winner (2022 Bob Hope, 2022 Best Pal), worked four furlongs in 47.8 seconds at Santa Anita. It was the fifth fastest of 37 works at the distance. This was his first work since his last race. In his last start he won the Bob Hope (G3) going seven furlongs on the main track at Del Mar on Nov. 20 for Baffert.

Azul Coast (Super Saver), a Grade 3 winner (2021 Native Diver), worked three furlongs in 37.6 seconds at Santa Anita. It was the fifth fastest of 11 works at the distance. This was his first work since his last race. In his last start he placed second in the Native Diver (G3) going 1 1/8 miles on the main track at Del Mar on Nov. 27 for Baffert.

Bizzee Channel (English Channel), a Grade 3 winner (2021 Arlington), worked four furlongs in 49.6 seconds at Fair Grounds. It was the 31st fastest of 66 works at the distance. This was his first work since his last race. In his last start he placed seventh in an allowance race going 1 1/16 miles on the turf at Churchill Downs on Nov. 18 for trainer Jason Barkley.

Cazadero (Street Sense), a Grade 3 winner (2020 Bashford Manor), worked four furlongs in 50.0 seconds on turf at Palm Meadows. It was the fourth fastest of 21 works at the distance. His previous work was six days ago going five furlongs at Palm Meadows. In his last start he placed 11th in the Breeders' Cup Turf Sprint going 5 1/2 furlongs on the turf at Keeneland on Nov. 5 for trainer Brendan Walsh.

English Bee (English Channel), a Grade 3 winner (2019 Commonwealth Derby), worked five furlongs in 1:03.0 at Fair Hill. It was the fourth fastest of seven works at the distance. His previous work was seven days ago going five furlongs at Fair Hill. In his last start he placed fifth in the Dinner Party (G2) going 1 1/16 miles on the turf at Pimlico on May 21 for trainer Graham Motion.

Hopper (Declaration of War), a Grade 3 winner (2022 Affirmed), worked four furlongs in 49.0 seconds at Los Alamitos. It was the fifth fastest of eight works at the distance. His previous work was seven days ago going three furlongs at Los Alamitos. In his last start he won the Affirmed (G3) going 1 1/16 miles on the main track at Santa Anita on June 11 for trainer Sean McCarthy.
