Florida Derby winner White Abarrio was the only Grade 1 winner who produced a bullet work among graded-stakes victors on the Sunday work tab.

The Race Day colt, who finished seventh last month in the Haskell (G1) at Monmouth Park, was clocked at 46.2 seconds, the fastest of 109 half-mile breezes at Saratoga.

Trainer Saffie Joseph Jr. told Horse Racing Nation in a Barn Tour on Wednesday that “nothing’s really set in stone of where he’s going to go next,” but he said the Pennsylvania Derby (G1) on Sept. 24 at Parx Racing was possible.

There were seven other bullets among the 59 works for graded-stakes winners across North America on Sunday.

White Abarrio (Race Day), a Grade 1 winner (2022 Florida Derby), worked four furlongs in 46.2 seconds Sunday morning at Saratoga. It was the fastest of 109 works at the distance. His previous work was seven days ago going four furlongs at Saratoga. Soothsay (Distorted Humor), a Grade 2 winner (2021 Santa Anita Oaks), worked six furlongs in 1:11.8 at Del Mar. It was the fastest of six works at the distance. Hirsch (G1) going 1 1/16 miles on the main track at Del Mar on Aug. 6 for trainer Richard Mandella.

Silver Prospector (Declaration of War), a Grade 2 winner (2019 Kentucky Jockey Club), worked five furlongs in 1:01.8 at Saratoga. It was the fastest of 11 works at the distance. His previous work was seven days ago going five furlongs at Saratoga. In his last start he placed third in the West Virginia Governor’s (G3) going 1 1/16 miles on the main track at Mountaineer on Aug. 6 for trainer Steve Asmussen.

Sacred Life (Siyouni), a two-time Grade 3 winner (2022 Monmouth, 2021 Knickerbocker), worked four furlongs in 49.2 seconds on turf at Saratoga. It was the fastest of 65 works at the distance. This was his first work since his last race. In his last start he placed third in the Arlington Million (G1) going 1 1/8 miles on the turf at Churchill Downs on Aug. 13 for trainer Chad Brown.

Azul Coast (Super Saver), a Grade 3 winner (2021 Native Diver), worked six furlongs in 1:11.4 at Los Alamitos. It was the fastest of four works at the distance. His previous work was 11 days ago going five furlongs at Los Alamitos. In his last start he placed fifth in the San Antonio (G2) going 1 1/16 miles on the main track at Santa Anita on Dec. 26 for trainer Bob Baffert.

Phat Man (Munnings), a Grade 3 winner (2020 Fred W. Hooper), worked four furlongs in 47.8 seconds at Monmouth Park. It was the fastest of 42 works at the distance.
