Gutsy win in the Caulfield. Coming into the Plate in very good form to face Winx. Humidor also hit the board picking up third. Winx will have to run down Benbatl while also dealing with Humidor closing again like last year. Should be a great race for sure!
This horse was once a favorite for the Epsom Derby

Could see this coming last year: around but no winning moves is the sign of disinterest, injury? Who knows. I recall running into Roger Atfield in the elevator with Patrick Husbands after the Breeder's Stakes as a three year old where he just overwhelmed that field. Said "He ran big today!" and congratulated them ...The elevator went silent and I asked myself "WHAT did I say wrong?" Still don't understand that one.
Haven't heard anything about this horse for months, are the plans still the BC Sprint?? He looked really good earlier this year. Definitely an 'unexposed dark horse' who could trouble the likes of "Imperial Hint", "X Y Jet" and "Roy H". But is he even FIT, has anyone got any news??
In his first start since March, Snapper Sinclair is entered today at Keeneland in a turf sprint allowance; to be ridden by Santana, race 6.
Code of honor / Instagrand / Tale of the Union Except for the fact that the two best horses aren’t even running. I guess that leaves me with just Code of honor, .....and game winner Because he is the most likely in the top three candidate here. I still like game winner as a future older prospect though, far more than a forced triple crown/early retiree. Part of me hopes he flops and they give him more time/ less strenuous schedule so we get to see the Gun Runner-esq improvement. With Baffert though, I supppse that’s not going to happen either way. I don’t see anyone else in this field as a real derby prospect.

Had a serious work yesterday with an older talented stablemate. Bob is definitely pushing this one to be good
Hartnell did well this last Saturday Oct 13th. He came in 2nd...such a gutsy horse!
Secretariat took Horse of the Year honors at the rare age of two. Even rarer was his competition that year, Canadian two year old filly La Prevoyante. With Buckpasser as sire and her dam Arctic Dancer being a full sister to Northern Dancer, La Prevoyante was undefeated in twelve races, including the Colin, Schuylerville, Spinaway, Matron, Frizette, Selima and Gardenia stakes. She won the votes of the National Turfwriters Association, while Secretariat was favored by the Thoroughbred Racing Associations of North America and the Daily Racing Form. The filly would be named Horse of the Year in her native country and American Champion Two-Year-Old Filly. Part of the inaugural class of inductees in the Canadian Horse Racing Hall of Fame in 1976, La Prevoyante was also inducted into the United States National Museum of Racing and Hall of Fame in 1995.
