Who's in? Invitation list set for Belmont Derby and Oaks

June 26, 2019 01:25pm

The New York Racing Association has listed horses invited to its July 6 features, the Belmont Derby (G1) and Belmont Oaks (G1), with those races also marking the kickoff to the new Turf Triple series for 3-year-old on turf.

Fourteen are listed as preferred for the 1 1/4-mile grass races, and horsemen had until 1 p.m. ET Wednesday to confirm interest in participating. Should any in the body of the prospective fields opt out, there’s an additional reserve list from which NYRA will draw.
