The University of Louisville's Equine Industry Program, with the support of Horse Racing Nation, continued its speaker series Wednesday with a panel covering "Sports Betting and Horse Racing."
Experts took an in-depth look at the introduction of sports wagering and how racing can benefit and coexist with this new form of gaming.
Panelists included: • Rep. Adam Koenig (R-69), who will introduce a bill in Kentucky in the 2020 Legislative Session; • Bill Knauf, VP of business operations at Monmouth Park;
• John Walsh, assistant general manager at Hawthorne; • and Mark Midland, founder of Horse Racing Nation.

An intense, four-year track, the Equine Industry Program gives students the professional skills they need to succeed in the horse industry covering equine economics, marketing and law, among other topics. Small class sizes are emphasized along with individualized advising.
