TVG, America’s horse racing network and industry-leading advanced-deposit wagering platform, will continue its 20th anniversary celebration with a nod to the equine athletes as the on-air talent reflect on their favorite horses through a series of specially produced vignettes airing through Sunday.

The campaign features prominent horses from the past two decades and showcase the farms where they now reside with visits and reflections from TVG hosts.

“We are looking forward to shining the spotlight on the stars of our sport – the horses,” said Kevin Grigsby, TVG’s executive producer and SVP of television. “At the end of the day, we are all racing fans and these horses have taken us all on the ride of a lifetime.”

Zenyatta, visited at Lane’s End Farm in Versailles, Ky., by Todd Schrupp, became America’s sweetheart when she defeated male rivals in a thrilling rendition of the Breeders’ Cup Classic in 2009.

Rachel Alexandra became a household name in 2009 after a stunning performance in the Kentucky Oaks and raced into the history books with a victory in the second jewel of the Triple Crown, the Preakness Stakes. Simon Bray caught up with horse racing’s heroine at Stonestreet Farm in Lexington, Ky.

California Chrome earned the coveted title of Horse of the Year twice over the course of a career that included victories in the Kentucky Derby, Preakness Stakes and Dubai World Cup. Now a stallion at Taylor Made Farm in Nicholasville, Ky., he got a visit from Dave Weaver who recounts some of Chrome’s marquee achievements.

Winx adds an international flair to the list and Australia’s champion mare kept racing fans, including TVG Host Candice Hare, up throughout the night to watch her record-setting performances. Her races became "Must see TVG" and earned the 2018 Secretariat Vox Populi Award as the most popular horse among U.S. racing fans.

Frankel, named in honor of the late trainer Robert Frankel, dazzled in Europe and was the model of perfection. He retired undefeated from 14 starts and Scott Hazelton caught up with him at Juddmonte Farms’ historic Banstead Manor, where he stands at stud.

American Pharoah ended a 37-year drought and gave horse racing fans a long sought-after Triple Crown when he became the 12th horse in history to sweep the Kentucky Derby, Preakness and Belmont Stakes. He ended his remarkable career with a victory in the Breeders’ Cup Classic in 2015 before retiring to stud at Coolmore America’s Ashford Stud in Versailles, Ky., where he was visited by Caleb Keller.

Beholder captivated fans for five seasons and recorded Grade 1 victories at 2,3,4,5 and 6. Her impressive resume includes a win over male rivals in the 2015 TVG Pacific Classic and a gallant victory in the 2016 Breeders’ Cup Distaff. Caton Bredar paid “Queen B” a visit at Spendthrift Farm in Lexington, Ky., where she is a prized part of their broodmare band.

Tiznow was known for his bold personality on the racetrack and has maintained that as a treasured member of the stallion roster at WinStar Farm in Versailles, Ky. The dual Breeders’ Cup Classic champion was visited by Joaquin Jaime where the 22-year-old veteran still looks every bit the part of horse racing royalty.

TVG launched on July 14, 1999, and since then, the television network has emerged as daily go-to viewing for racing fans and US horse racing industry stakeholders. Its ADW platform has grown into the market leader, processing over $1 billion in annual wagering.

The anniversary celebrations have been ongoing throughout July and have included special programming, promotions and events including the debut of the TVG Lounge at Monmouth Park, which opened this past weekend to coincide with the TVG.com Haskell Invitational (G1) won by Maximum Security.

The coast to coast celebration is scheduled to conclude with live coverage of the TVG Pacific Classic (G1) on Aug. 17 at Del Mar.
