Diversy Harbor, one of the most impressive two turn turf winners of the meet, heads a field of 10 in Saturday’s Grade III, $150,000 Providencia Stakes for 3-year-old fillies at 1 1/8 miles on the grass.

Trained by Tom Proctor and ridden by Gary Stevens, Diversy Harbor exploded late to win the one mile turf China Doll Stakes going away by a half length on March 8 and could relish the added furlong of the Providencia.

A first-out maiden winner going 6 ½ furlongs down Santa Anita’s hillside turf course Jan. 26, the Glen Hill Farm-owned daughter of Curlin is undefeated in two starts and looms the horse to beat Saturday.

Proctor will also be represented by Savings Account, who closed much ground to be seventh, beaten 4 ¼ lengths, by her stablemate in the China Doll.  Second, beaten a head in the Grade III, one mile turf Miesque Stakes at Hollywood Park Nov. 30 the Kentucky-bred daughter of Medaglia d’Oro broke her maiden going one mile on turf three starts back at Hollywood Park on Nov. 8.

Second, beaten a half length while rallying from off the pace in the China Doll, Nashoba’s Gold was a first-out maiden winner going 1 1/8 miles on turf Feb. 8 and will try to turn the tables on Diversy Harbor in the Providencia.  Trained by Carla Gaines, the Kentucky-bred filly by Smart Strike is owned by Warren B. Williamson and was bred by his Williamson Racing, LLC.  She’ll again be handled by regular pilot Joe Talamo.

Full Ransom is another who exits the China Doll and although she ran 12th, she was only beaten 5 ¼ lengths and was full of run late under Kent Desormeaux, who will ride her back.  Trained by Jim Cassidy, Full Ransom was away slowly and lacked room late.

A winner three starts back of the Miesque Stakes, Full Ransom was second as the 6-5 favorite in Santa Anita’s Blue Norther Stakes on Jan. 1.  She’s run a mile on grass in her last four starts and has two wins and a third from five starts overall.  Full Ransom is owned by DP Racing, LLC.

Cassidy will also saddle longshot Soresca, who layed close to the China Doll pace and tired to finish eighth, beaten 4 ½ lengths.  Also owned by DP Racing, LLC, she’ll be making her third stateside start and her 11th overall on Saturday.  Irish-bred Soresca has three wins, two seconds and a third.

Dispatched at 89-1, trainer Tim McCanna’s Tiz Kissable rallied to finish third, beaten 1 ½ lengths, in the China Doll and will be making her fourth start in the Providencia.  McCanna, currently based at Golden Gate Fields, is a perennial kingpin at Emerald Downs near Seattle.

A first-out one mile maiden winner on synthetic Tapeta at Golden Gate Dec. 15, Tiz Kissable will hope for a lively pace Saturday in her fourth career start.  A Kentucky-bred daughter of Tiz Wonderful, she’s owned by Jethorse, LLC, and will be ridden back by Tyler Baze.

Winless in four starts in France, trainer Leonard Powell’s English-bred Margot Machance rallied from off the pace to win her U.S. debut on March 15, a one mile maiden special weight on turf.  Like several others, she’d be flattered by a fast pace and will hope to improve stretching out a furlong.  Owned by Alfred Pais, Margot Machance will again be ridden by Julien Couton.

Trainer Paddy Gallagher’s English-bred Practising has been a consistent sort, with a win and two seconds from four overall starts.  Fourth, beaten three lengths as the 8-5 favorite in a 1 1/8 miles turf  allowance March 13, Practising was a clever off-the-pace winner of her U.S. debut, a one mile maiden affair on Jan. 18.

Owned by Eclipse Thoroughbred Partners, Inc., Practising will get the services of leading rider Rafael Bejarano, who has been aboard in both of her stateside starts.

A gate to wire winner of her last two starts, Reddam Racing’s One More could be dangerous if left to her own devices on the front end.  Trained by Doug O’Neill, the Kentucky-bred filly by Holy Bull broke her maiden for a $75,000 claiming tag going a mile on turf Feb. 20, and she comes off a 1 ½ length allowance score going 1 1/8 miles on grass March 13.  She’ll again be ridden by Mario Gutierrez, who has been aboard for all six of her starts.

With all horses except Full Ransom assigned 118 pounds, the Providencia will be run as the seventh race on an 11-race program.  Here’s the field with jockeys in post position order:  Soresca, Chantal Sutherland Kruse; Practising, Rafael Bejarano; Tiz Kissable, Tyler Baze; Nashoba’s Gold, Joe Talamo; Full Ransom, Kent Desormeaux, 123; Savings Account, Mike Smith; Margot Machance, Julien Couton; Diversy Harbor, Gary Stevens; Kukaluka, Victor Espinoza, and One More, Mario Gutierrez.
