With post positions set and a morning line installed, now the real handicapping can begin for Saturday's Preakness Stakes. Courtesy of Brisnet, free past performances are now available for a field of 13 set to go at Pimlico Race Course.

The cast is led by fourth-place Kentucky Derby finisher Improbable, War of Will and Anothertwistafate, a bit of a surprise as the third morning line choice over Owendale, who defeated him in Keeneland's Lexington Stakes (G3), and the Maryland-bred star Alwaysmining.

In addition to providing recent running lines, Brisnet PPs rank contenders on speed and pace figures, plus detail running styles. Don't miss the ultimate comments, either, which point out key stats for each horse.

Note that many of the so-called new shooters actually ran faster in their last starts than their counterparts exiting the Derby. Was the Derby a slow race, or are those colts being underrated? That's just one piece of the puzzle to consider before the third Saturday in May.

The PPs can be expanded at the lower right of the window, and head here for printable Preakness Stakes past performances.
