Kentucky Derby 2014 TwinSpires Showdown Contest
TwinSpires.com is offering its players an opportunity to turn $20 into a $1 million prize by betting the Kentucky Derby 2014 qualifying races!

The $1,000,000 Road to the Kentucky Derby Showdown challenges players to make a winning $20 show bet on 19 Kentucky Derby prep races included in the "Road to the Kentucky Derby" point series and Kentucky Derby 2014.  If a player survives all 20 races with a winning $20 show bet in which their horse finishes first, second or third in each race, they will win or share the $1 million top prize.

The $1,000,000 Road to the Kentucky Derby Showdown starts Saturday, Feb. 8 with the Robert B. Lewis Stakes from Santa Anita Park. In order to win the $1 million top prize, players need to start with the first contest race.

"Making TwinSpires.com your home to bet the Kentucky Derby preps and the 140th Kentucky Derby could make you a millionaire," said Jeremy Clemons, TwinSpires.com Vice President of Marketing.  "The Showdown is one of our most popular promotions of the year because anyone could make as little as a $20 deposit into their TwinSpires.com account, get on a hot streak with show bets and walk away with a $1 million prize."

TwinSpires.com is also offering an additional $10,000 guaranteed cash prize pool and a chance to win tickets to Kentucky Derby 2014 and Kentucky Oaks 2014.

Complete details about the $1,000,000 Road to the Kentucky Derby Showdown and official rules are available at www.twinspires.com.

icy, In Texas no matter who is in or out of office, that person is replaced with one who is probably even more "conservative". We were originally able to place bets online, but someone noticed that there was a law against this but not being enforced. So, about a year ago (?) they decided to enforce it.
Disapointed? Then vote them out of office! Oh all candidates are part of the same corporation, I guess that only leaves revolution. Oh it's against the law now to even talk about it, wow. Just a thought, revolutions are only illegal if you lose.
It's my understanding that they eliminated the game. They linked it to the website because they replaced the game with the contest.
Really sucks that people in states that aren't allowed to sign up at twin spires no longer can play this fun game. Really kept me interested in all the preps leading up to May.
Dear Twinspires and Churchill Downs.....I am NOT too happy about how you linked the fantasy game that used to be Road To The Roses with your betting website Twin Spires. Pardon me if I vent a little too much but you see I am mad at this situation. I have played and very much enjoyed the Road to the Roses since its inception. It has been a great lead-up to the Kentucky Derby for me each spring and no doubt I speak for others when I say that. This year, however, I will not be able to enjoy this rite of spring due to the fact that your once-fun free online public game is now linked to the BETTING and GAMBLING website Twin Spures which is BANNED in my homestate of South Carolina. Granted, I live in the Bible Belt, where it can be tough to buy a drink or find an open mall early on a Sunday, but when I moved here I certainly didn't bargain for giving up free and HARMLESS fun from an online activity where NO MONEY CHANGES HANDS! I wish, one, that the leadership of South Carolina was not so ate up with all things vice-oriented, and , two, that the webmasters of the Churchill Downs and Kentucky Derby websites would de-link the fantasy game from the GAMING website Twin Spired! I think I'll have to contact the websites directly but thank you HRN for letting me vent here. I really am a fan of the Road to the Roses game and the Kentuckly Derby. I'll just have to find some new fun I guess. Thanks you for listening and readng this vent. I feel better now, but to all other southerners in BANNED states, our governments are going to make us have to lie I guess to enjoy a harmless activity. Not to get too political but this is why I'm a libertarian. Signed, a Disgruntled Fantasy Gamer.....
