Tuesday tab: Secret Oath works ahead of possible Nest rematch

Secret Oath had her second workout since her 12 1/4-length loss to Nest last out in the Grade 1 Coaching Club American Oaks on July 23.

The two could be headed for a rubber match in the Aug. 29 Alabama (G1). Secret Oath beat Nest in their first meeting, the Kentucky Oaks.

In his last start he placed sixth in the Woody Stephens (G1) going seven furlongs on the main track at Belmont Park on June 11 for trainer Steve Asmussen.

Sir Anthony (Mineshaft) a two-time Grade 3 winner (2019 Cornhusker, 2018 Harlan's Holiday), worked three furlongs in 40.9 at Canterbury Park on Tuesday morning. It was the eighth fastest of nine works at the distance. His previous work was 13 days ago going three furlongs at Canterbury Park. In his last start he placed sixth in the W. L. In her last start she won the Indiana Oaks (G3) going 1 1/16 miles on the main track at Horseshoe Indianapolis on July 9 for trainer Brad Cox.

Majestic Eagle (Medaglia d'Oro) a Grade 3 winner (2019 American), worked four furlongs in 48.2 at Del Mar on Tuesday morning. It was the third fastest of 15 works at the distance. His previous work was seven days ago going five furlongs at Del Mar. In his last start he placed sixth in the American (G3) going 1 mile on the turf at Santa Anita Park on June 19 for trainer Neil Drysdale.
