After losing in two graded stakes earlier this year, Kimari rallied to win the Honorable Miss on Saturday at Saratoga.
And her performance earned her the highest Brisnet Speed Rating and Beyer Speed Figure among the week's graded-stakes winners.
With Joel Rosario riding, the 5-year-old mare trained by Wesley Ward covered six furlongs in 1:10.78.
In returning to the win column in the Jim Dandy (G2), Epicenter – also with Rosario aboard – earned the second-highest Brisnet rating, a 107, along with a 102 Beyer and a 124 TimeformUS Speed Figure.
The weekend also produced buzz-generating first-out wins by juveniles. Todd Pletcher's Prank, a 9 3/4-length winner at 5 1/2 furlongs at Saratoga, got a 91 Beyer. Two Bob Baffert trainees, Jackstown and Newgate, earned 84 and 80 Beyers, respectively, for wins at Del Mar. And Justique, the Justify filly trained by John Shirreffs, got a 72 Beyer for a win at Del Mar.
Here are the top Brisnet Speed Ratings for last week's graded-stakes winners, along with Beyer Speed Figures from Daily Racing Form and TimeformUS Speed Figures, where available.
