Fort Bragg originally was set to race Sunday in the Grade 3 Sunland Park Derby. Instead, trainer Tim Yakteen had him scratched in order to go to next weekend’s Florida Derby (G1).

Preparing for his trip to Gulfstream Park, the 3-year-old Tapit colt turned in a 59.4-second workout covering five furlongs Sunday at Santa Anita. His stablemate Practical Move, who is expected to race April 8 in the Santa Anita Derby (G1), was the only faster worker, clocked at 59.2. Reincarnate, the morning-line favorite for Saturday’s Arkansas Derby (G1), was clocked at 59.8 seconds covering the same ground.
