Seeking the first stakes score of her 2015 campaign, Storied Lady is slated to meet five rivals when she heads into the second running of the $100,000 Cat Cay Stakes for fillies and mares on Saturday's Gotham undercard at Aqueduct Racetrack.

The bay daughter of Read the Footnotes closed out 2014 with her first career stakes win in the inaugural Bay Ridge on December 31 at Aqueduct Racetrack, where she kicked away under jockey Jose Ortiz to win by two lengths.
Overcoming a bad break in her most recent start, Storied Lady vied to maintain position in the stretch and came home to take place honors last time out in an allowance race on February 11 at the Big A.
"[Storied Lady] is training very good," said Storied Lady's trainer, John Hertler. "This is a stretch out in distance but she's warming up very well; everything [is] going good and I hope it continues to go well. We're hoping for a very sharp race."
Storied Lady will break from the outermost post 6 with regular rider Jose Ortiz aboard. She is 7-2 on the morning line.
The Cat Cay, at 1 1/16 miles on the inner track, also attracted Holiday's Jewel from trainer Mitchell Friedman and Sunny Meadow Farm. The 6-year-old bay mare is looking for her first win of 2015 after a disappointing fifth-place finish in the Ladies Handicap at Aqueduct earlier this year.
Friedman also enters Richard Greely's Wraith, most recently fourth in an optional claimer on February 7 at Aqueduct.
At 3-1 on the morning line, Holiday's Jewel will have Junior Alvarado when she leaves from post 5.
Trained by Steve Klesaris for Whisper Hill Farm, Evening Show comes into the Cat Cay off a narrow win in an allowance optional claimer on February 5 at Aqueduct. With a pair of third-place finishes in her two previous starts, the Pennsylvania-bred daughter of Master Command hopes to build off her hard-knocking victory and add a stakes to her resume.

With regular rider Angel Arroyo in the irons, Evening Show is 5-2 from post position 4.

Rounding out the field are Mylitta for trainer Michael Wilson and Edward Setzer, and the 2-1 favorite, Shayjolie, who closed out 2014 with a second in the Comely Stakes at Aqueduct and most recently was sixth in the Maryland Racing Media Stakes.
