#4 PLUS QUE PARFAIT (7-2) should not have any issues with the distance. He won the UAE Derby (G2) at 9.5 furlongs March 30. He was an okay 9th of 19 in the Kentucky Derby (G1), and he switched to turf, chased the pace, and ended up a respectable 6th of 14 in the Belmont Derby (G1). He fired a Churchill bullet July 26 and might be ready for a forward move. If he can stay relatively close to Mr. Money turning for home, he can wear him down.

#9 Mr. Money (6-5) easily won the Pat Day Mile (G3), Matt Winn (G3), and Indiana Derby (G3) in his last three stakes starts. He owns fine tactical speed and is the fastest horse on paper. He drilled a bullet for this July 26, and the only question is distance. He flopped in his lone try at a mile and an eighth in the LA Derby (G2).

Former claimer #8 Math Wizard (5-1) chased Mr. Money home in the Indiana Derby, and he gave Owendale a scare in the Ohio Derby (G3). He fired a Keeneland bullet July 27, and Florent Geroux takes the call. He is 0-for-3 at this distance.

#6 Fluminense (10-1) finished a troubled 4th in the Iowa Derby. Both of his wins were in sprint races, but Steve Asmussen's $410k purchase seems to be getting better.

#10 Chilly in Charge (15-1) improved his numbers in all five outings and exits back-to-back wins. The PA-bred stakes winner might attempt a theft.

#7 Top Line Growth (8-1) was placed first via disqualification in the Iowa Derby, so her is technically 3-for-4. He will probably chase the pace.

#2 Grumps Lil Tots (10-1) was placed 2nd through disqualification in the Easy Goer Stakes, but that was not a strong race. He should save ground stalking the pace.

#1 Chess Chief (20-1) is 0-for-3 in the stakes ranks and was a non-threatening 4th in the Indiana Derby last time. He will pick off a few tired rivals.

#5 Cornstarch (30-1) returns to dirt and he is light on numbers. The outsider will try to get involved late.

#3 Conative (50-1) is overmatched on paper just like his stablemate Cornstarch.
