Saturday’s 5th race from Santa Anita Park (4-28-18) is the Grade 2, $200,000 Californian Stakes for 3-year-olds and up traveling a mile and an eighth on the main track.

#4 DR. DORR (8-5) has been a new horse since getting the ultimate equipment change on 8-10-17. He exits back-to-back wins including an easy wire job in the Santana Mile. He is 4-for-6 at Santa Anita and will take them as far as he can in his longest race to date.

#5 The Lieutenant (7-2) was up for 2nd behind Dr. Dorr in the Santana Mile.

#2 Full of Luck (5-1) switches surfaces in his second US start for Jerry Hollendorfer. He disappointed as the chalk in the G3 San Francisco Mile at Golden Gate last time, and Flavien Prat stays put. He is bred to handle dirt (Lookin At Lucky-Fusaichi Pegasus).

THE PLAYS:

Exacta 2-4/5

Trifecta Key 4/2-5
