Zandon turned in his final work before his expected start at Aqueduct next Saturday in the Grade 1, $750,000 Cigar Mile Handicap.

Most recently the runner-up in the Pennsylvania Derby (G1), Zandon was clocked at 49.2 seconds for his half-mile breeze Saturday morning at Belmont Park.

Already a Grade 1 winner this year in the Blue Grass at Keeneland, the Upstart colt trained by Chad Brown could move into contention for the 3-year-old male championship with a win against older horses in next weekend’s one-turn mile.

Zandon was one of 31 graded-stakes winners whose names showed up on work tabs across North America.
