Saratoga video: Morning Report with Franco, Maker and more

Horse Racing Nation's Andrew Capone will be hitting the backside all summer to talk to connections at Saratoga.

In this report, he talks to jockey Manny Franco, as well as trainers Michael Trombetta, Mike Maker, Tom Morley and Michelle Nevin.

Franco thinks back to why he chose to become a jockey and how he got started in the sport. He also explains how he made the move from Puerto Rico to the 48 continguous states, discusses his relationship with his jockey agent and tells his favorite mount of his career so far.

Trombetta discusses Arzak, who goes out in the Troy (G3) Friday afternoon. He shines a light on how he prepares a horse for a turf sprint, and also talks about his outlook on 2-year-olds.

Maker checks in with Stolen Base and Somelikeithotbrown, who are racing in stakes at Saratoga this weekend. He also introduces some 2-year-olds who he plans to debut soon.

Nevin discusses her Test (G1) entrant Elm Drive, and what she does to get a horse acclimated after a cross-country ship. She also provides an update on summer plans for the ageless New York-bred My Boy Tate.

Morley gives his insight on Dynadrive, who runs in the Lure Stakes on Saturday. He also introduces La Grotte, his juvenile first-time starter on Sunday. Morley also discusses the highly competitive claiming game at Saratoga.
