Landaluce Educe Stables’ Rosalind, dead-heat winner of this spring’s Central Bank Ashland (G1) here on Polytrack, and Sagamore Farm’s Daring Dancer, winner of the Appalachian (G3) this spring here on grass, head an overflow field of 14 plus two also-eligibles Friday in the 24th running of the $150,000 Pin Oak Valley View (G3), for 3-year-old fillies going 1 1/16 miles on the grass.
The Pin Oak Valley View will go as the ninth race on Friday’s 10-race program with a 5:13 p.m. ET post time.
Trained by Ken McPeek, Rosalind will be making her first start since finishing ninth in the $1 million Belmont Oaks Invitational (G1) on July 5. Chris Landeros has the mount on Rosalind, who will break from post position four.
Daring Dancer, who also won the Lake George (G2) at Saratoga this summer, was invited to last Saturday’s Queen Elizabeth II Challenge Cup Presented by Lane’s End (G1), but was scratched out of the race by trainer Graham Motion because of the soft turf conditions.
Sixth in her most recent start in the Sands Point (G2) at Belmont Park on Sept. 13, Daring Dancer will break from post position 12 and be ridden by Joe Rocco Jr.
The field for the Pin Oak Valley View, from the inside out, is as follows: Spring Included (Robby Albarado, 118 pounds), V V Goodnight (Channing Hill, 118), Size (Rosie Napravnik, 118), Rosalind (Landeros, 118), Fashion Fund (GB) (Joel Rosario, 118), Stellaris (James Graham, 118), Annulment (Corey Lanerie, 118), Sumba Sunset (Shaun Bridgmohan, 118), Goldy Espony (FR) (Alan Garcia, 122), Token of Love (GB) (John Velazquez, 118), Miss Frost (Edgar Prado, 120), Daring Dancer (Rocco Jr., 122), Sparkling Review (Julien Leparoux, 120) and A Little Bit Sassy (Luis Saez, 120).
