D. Wayne Lukas plans to switch riders for Secret Oath in the 2022 Kentucky Oaks, according to a Twitter post by TVG's Gabby Gaudet.

Lukas told Gaudet that his new choice is Luis Saez, who has not won the Kentucky Oaks. Overall, he is 5: 0-0-0 in the race. His best finish was fourth on Go Maggie Go in 2016.

The Arrogate filly has been ridden by Luis Contreras for her last four starts, which included wins in the Martha Washington and Honeybee (G3) before finishing third against boys in the Arkansas Derby (G1).

Secret Oath is at No. 8 on the Kentucky Oaks leaderboard.

The competition in the May 6 Kentucky Oaks will include two undefeated fillies: Echo Zulu and Kathleen O.

Echo Zulu, champion juvenile filly after going 4-for-4 last year, won by a nose in her 3-year-old debut, the Fair Grounds Oaks (G2) for trainer Steve Asmussen.

Kathleen O.'s last two wins came in the Davona Dale (G2) and the Gulfstream Park Oaks (G2) for trainer Shug McGaughey.

Lukas, 86, has four Oaks wins but none since Seaside Attraction in 1990. They all were between 1982 and 1990. If he were to win, the Hall of Fame trainer would tie Woody Stephens's record for training victories in the race.

Lukas' last win in a classic was with Oxbow in the 2013 Preakness, and that was his first in a classic since 2000.
