Life Is Good has final Pegasus tuneup to top Saturday's tab

Life Is Good, one of the leading contenders in next Saturday's Pegasus World Cup (G1) at Gulfstream Park, put in his final prep work for trainer Todd Pletcher on Saturday. The five-furlong drill went by in 1:00.9 at Palm Beach Downs Saturday, third fastest out of 15 works at that distance.

“It was another super breeze. He looked awesome, moving really well, in hand throughout,” Pletcher said. “It’s kind of what we’ve been seeing every week. Just beautiful action, and does things effortlessly. We couldn’t be more pleased with how he went.”

The Into Mischief colt was joined by a fellow Pegasus contender, Chess Chief, on the work tab. Working for trainer Dallas Stewart, that Into Mischief colt went four furlongs in 48.6 seconds at Fair Grounds.
