If you've been paying attention, you probably know that Knicks Go had 2021's highest Beyer Speed Figure of any horse not named Flightline or Baby Yoda.

The 113 Beyer came in his 10 1/4-length win in the Cornhusker Handicap (G3) in July.

As he prepares to defend his title in the Jan. 29 Pegasus World Cup Invitational (G1), we looked to see how other likely contenders stack up speed-figure-wise. The runner who comes closest is Life Is Good, backing up the eager anticipation for this matchup.

Of course, the field is likely to change – two more rounds of invitations are expected before the runners are determined. But here is a look at who appears likely to start.
