Vanderbilt (G1), returned to work Monday morning for the first time since that strong effort July 29 at Saratoga. He worked four furlongs in 51.2 seconds for trainer Steve Asmussen. The son of Gun Runner has been a graded winner at Saratoga in each of the previous two meets, winning the Hopeful (G1) in 2021 and the Amsterdam (G2) in 2022.
