Leading west-coast distaffer Adare Manor worked a Monday-morning bullet at Santa Anita. She covered five furlongs in 59.2 seconds, the fastest of 43 at the distance. The Bob Baffert trainee most recently won the Grade 1 Clement L. Hirsch on Aug. 5, earning an expenses-paid berth for the Breeders' Cup Distaff.

She was not the only star from her barn to drill Monday morning in Arcadia.  Preakness winner National Treasure, two-time Grade 1 winner Defunded, Woody Stephens winner Arabian Lion and two-time Grade 2 winner Du Jour were also among the Bob Baffert trainees to post a timed workout.
