While Sunday'a graded stakes work tab featured an array of Breeders' Cup workers including Maximum Security and Vekoma, sharing the spotlight was the return to serious training of Louisiana Derby (G2) winner Wells Bayou for trainer Brad Cox.

Wells Bayou has been on the sidelines since finishing fifth in the  Arkansas Derby (G2) on May 2. He worked twice subsequent to that effort with the last being May 30 at Churchill Downs. In early June, the son of Lookin at Lucky was discovered to have bone bruising and given time off to recover.
