Live racing at Mahoning Valley has been canceled for Wednesday because winter weather moving through the northeast Ohio area.

The Wednesday race card will be moved in its entirety to Saturday with a first race post time of 12:15 p.m. EST. Live racing is scheduled to resume Thursday with a first race post time of 12:45 p.m. The simulcast theater will remain open.

The National Weather Service forecast calls for snow and sleet before noon, then rain and a high temperature near 40. It will be breezy, with a southeast wind 16 to 22 mph and gusts as high as 37 mph. The chance of precipitation is 100 percent, with total daytime snow and sleet accumulation of one to three inches possible.

Mahoning Valley races Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday with a first race post time of 12:45 p.m. and a closing day Saturday card on April 15 with a first race post time of 12:15 p.m.
