Life is Good was among the top 3-year-olds who turned in timed works Saturday ahead of starts on the Kentucky Derby trail.

The Bob Baffert-trained son of Into Mischief breezed five furlongs in 59.6 at Santa Anita, fastest of 54 works at the distance. The winner of Santa Anita’s Sham Stakes on Jan. 2 is targeting the $300,000 San Felipe Stakes (G2) at 1 1/16 miles March 6 over the same course.

Life is Good closed last weekend in Pool 3 of the Kentucky Derby Future Wager at odds of 7-1. Only the pari-mutuel field of “All Other 3-Year-Olds” (3-1) closed at shorter odds.

“I thought Drain the Clock worked very well this morning,” Joseph, Jr. told NYRA's notes team. “I had him going the last quarter in 22.4 seconds. It was a good, strong work and as good as we could have asked for.”

Greatest Honour (Tapit) a Grade 3 winner (2021 Holy Bull) worked 4 furlongs in 51.2 at Payson Park Training Center on Sunday morning. It was the 15th fastest of 28 works at the distance. His previous work was 8 days ago going 4 furlongs at Payson Park Training Center. In his last start he placed 1st in the Holy Bull (G3) going 1 1/16 miles on the main track at Gulfstream Park on January 30 for trainer Shug McGaughey.
