Breeders’ Cup 2017 is finally upon us, with Friday at Del Mar the start of two days featuring high-level competition and peak opportunities to horseplayers betting the races.
Four Breeders’ Cup races — the Juvenile Fillies Turf, Dirt Mile, Juvenile Turf and Distaff — kick off the action before nine more run Saturday, capped with the $6 million Classic featuring Gun Runner and Arrogate.
When are Friday’s races?
First post Friday at Del Mar is 11:25 a.m. local/2:25 p.m. ET at Del Mar. Five races run on the Breeders’ Cup undercard, with another stakes scheduled for after the featured Distaff.
