Multiple Grade 1 winners Dr. Schivel and Shedaresthedevil turned in their latest timed works Sunday toward prominent top-level targets.

Dr. Schivel moved five furlongs handily Sunday at Santa Anita in 1:02.4, 33rd-fastest of 52 works at the distance. Mark Glatt trains the 2021 Breeders’ Cup Sprint runner-up, winner of the 2020 Del Mar Futurity (G1) and 2021 Bing Crosby Stakes (G1).

The 4-year-old Violence colt is targeting the $2 million Dubai Golden Shaheen (G1) on the March 26 Dubai World Cup (G1) card.

Shedaresthedevil breezed five furlongs at Fair Grounds on Sunday for trainer Brad Cox in 1:01.4, ranking 18th of 51 works at the distance. She owns Grade 1 wins from the 2020 Kentucky Oaks and 2021 Clement L. Hirsch Stakes.

The Daredevil mare could likely make the first start of her 5-year-old season March 12 at Oaklawn Park in the $350,000 Azeri Stakes (G2), a race she won last year. That event is a local prep for the $1 million Apple Blossom Handicap (G1) on April 23.
