A four-day "turf festival" closes Del Mar's Bing Crosby Meet over Thanksgiving weekend, and track officials have provided updated lists of probables for the main events.

On Nov. 30, the Grade 1, $300,000 Hollywood Derby will bring together 3-year-old males on the turf one more time at the top level, with trainer Chad Brown shipping in a strong contingent. Stakes winners Valid Point, Digital Age and Standard Deviation will take on locals like Mo Forza, Kingly and Neptune's Storm in a loaded field set to go 1 1/8 miles on the lawn.

Combined, the group of 3-year-olds below has won two Grade 1s, four Grade 2s and a Grade 3. Along with Valid Point, who took the Secretariat (G1) at Arlington Park, Henley's Joy prevailed in the Belmont Derby Invitational (G1) to represent the top-level winners.

On Dec. 1, closing day at Del Mar, fillies and mares 3 and up converge in the Grade 1, $300,000 Matriarch, also on grass, with the field led by Grade 1 winner and Breeders' Cup Mile runner-up Got Stormy.

This bunch has also accounted for two Grade 2 victories and five in Grade 3 company, with second choice on the morning line likely to come down to the Brown-trained shipper Significant Form, a winner in three of her last four, and the locally based Toinette, who's 7-for-10 in her career.

Star power will be on display in other events throughout the weekend. After the Red Carpet Handicap (G3) gets the turf festival started on Thanksgiving day, Breeders' Cup Turf runner-up United could appear in the Grade 2, $200,000 Hollywood Turf Cup on Friday before Princesa Caroline, the debut-winning sister of Lady Eli, returns in the Grade 3, $100,000 Jimmy Durante for juvenile fillies. The closing day card also includes the Grade 3, $100,000 Cecil B. DeMille for 2-year-olds.
