Crimson China Tries His Luck in Rushaway

Team Valor International's Crimson China, a sharp late running winner in Gulfstream optional claiming turf route on Feb 16, moves back to synthetic footing for Saturday's Rushaway Stakes at Turfway Park.

The Graham Motion trainee began his career in Great Britain under the care of Brian Meehan. He was nosed in his all-weather debut at Kempton Park last October and easily captured his second start at Wolverhampton at this eight and one-half furlong distance.

He was acquired by Team Valor with the intent of running in the 2010 CashCall Futurity at Hollywood Park in December but the promising son of Giant's Causeway never made it to the gate in that one. He looked good in his Florida return and could show up in the Blue Grass Stakes with a big effort on Saturday. He shows a Palm Meadows turf bullet for this and Alan Garcia rides.

The Ole Gen exits a fast optional claiming route score at Oaklawn Park for Larry Jones. He owns fine tactical speed but has never stepped foot on synthetic ground.

Disfraz was beaten a 1/2 length in the aforementioned Feb 16 Gulfstream turf route and the son of Lemon Drop Kid is on the improve for Eddie Kenneally.

Grandpa Gibby, St. ivan, Ocasta, Swift Warrior, Sorgho, and Swagger Jack complete the Rushaway field.
