Bureau de Change goes for her first career stakes win in her inaugural run at Monmouth Park when she takes on seven rivals in the Grade 3, $100,000 Eatontown Stakes, going a mile and a sixteenth on the turf.
Trained by Brian Lynch, Bureau de Change is coming off a fifth place finish in the Grade 2 Churchill Distaff Turf Mile at Churchill Downs and a fourth place finish in the Grade 2 Hillsborough at Tampa Bay Downs, both behind Champion Female Turf horse Tepin.
“She seems to be doing really well going into the race( ),” said Lynch, who conditions the horse for Amerman Racing Stables LLC.
The five-year-old mare by Exchange Rate out of the Wild Rush mare Fencelineneighbor has worked four times since the Distaff Turf Mile, all at Belmont Park, with the latest work being four furlongs in :50 on June 16.
“She didn’t run one of her best races last time out,” said Lynch. “We wanted to give her some time and freshener her up a bit going into this race.”
Bureau de Change’s last trip to the winners circle came onin a $100,000 allowance optional claiming event at Tampa Bay Downs, where she was just two lengths off the lead before storming home late down the stretch to post a length and a half victory.
Morning line favorite Isabella Sings, from the Todd Pletcher barn, enters in from Bureau de Change’s last two starts, finishing second in the Grade 2 Hillsborough and seventh in the Churchill Distaff Turf Mile. Isabella Sings is the only graded stakes winner in the field, taking the Grade 2 Mrs. Revere on at Churchill Downs.
Bruce Levine’s Invading Humor enters the Eatontown off a second place finish in the Mount Vernon on May 30 and also took home the Ticonderoga in gate-to-wire fashion on, both coming at Belmont Park.

WINE AND CHOCOLATE FESTIVAL BACK AT MONMOUTH THIS WEEKEND
Guests will pour into Monmouth Parkand for the Wine and Chocolate Festival this weekend, where they will be able to sample and purchase delicious wines from New Jersey’s best wineries and satisfy their sweet tooth with many different chocolate treats, all while enjoying a day at the races.

For $10, patrons will receive a wristband for unlimited access to wine sampling from vintners such as Cava Winery, DiMatteo Vineyards, Monroeville Vineyard, Plagido's Winery, Southwind Winery and more. For $7, guests will be able sample an assortment of chocolates from The Chocolate Art Gallery, Gourmet Creations, Jersey Girl Chocolates, Delaware Delights, The Sweet Cake Company, Dee’s Chocomaze, among others. For those who fancy both wine and chocolate, they can have the bundle package for just $15.
Patrons will also be able to enjoy live music from Nine Deez Nightand The Mike Dalton Band , which is also Family Fun Day featuring pony rides, face painters and bounce house.
