In his first workout since winning the Kentucky Derby, Authentic delivered a bullet five-furlong breeze Saturday for trainer Bob Baffert at Churchill Downs. It came two weeks before he is expected to be the favorite in the Preakness Stakes.

Fellow Preakness contender Art Collector worked the second-fastest five-furlong time of the day. Thousand Words worked a more leisurely five-furlongs, and the filly Swiss Skydiver drilled a swift four-furlongs.

Baffert was happy with the works from both Authentic and Thousand Words.

“I think both horses worked really well this morning. … They’ll work once more on Saturday before shipping to Pimlico.”

Meanwhile, Kentucky Oaks winner Shedaresthedevil also worked. See more details of Saturday's other graded-stakes workers below.

The speedy Into Mischief colt continued galloping out, in hand, around the far turn with a six-furlong time of 1:12.20 and completed his move with a seven-furlong gallop out in 1:25.20.
